Website is just Parr-fect

Take a look at parrlondon.co.uk, the website for estate agent, Parr London. Whether you’re buying, selling, renting or letting, it’s really easy to get around the website. That ease of navigation is actually deceptively simple – disguising some complex decisions when Pad designed the site.

Adam Bishop was Pad’s designer for the project. He said: “Our primary concern when designing any new website is to produce something that is first and foremost easy to use and navigate. As web design trends have evolved over the years, the focus has shifted from super-busy with various design elements, to fairly minimal and journey-based. At the end of the day, a website is a tool that many businesses fail to utilise properly but we make it our job to make this tool as effective as possible for our clients.”

It’s a philosophy that chimes with Pad’s client, Parr London’s Branch Manager, Matthew Parr. He said: “I was looking for a bespoke website that would generate business and offer some unique tools. The stamp duty calculator, for example, is something that potential buyers find really useful. Every buyer needs to know how much stamp duty they will pay and the calculator makes our website a one-stop-shop. There’s also an instant online valuation tool so customers have no need to click away from the site. We pride ourselves on our ethical motives and excellent service – the website reflects that.”

There’s also an element of fun on the home page – an animated silhouette of a hand holding some keys. “It’s an added extra but it proved one of the trickiest parts of the entire build,” said Adam. “There were teething problems getting it to work with various browsers and screen widths but we got there in the end. It’s one of the aspects that adds personality to the home page so I’m glad we were able to make it work for Matthew.”

Matthew chose Pad to design and build the website after working with them on a company brochure. He said: “I considered other agencies but I like the way Pad work. It was a pleasure working with them on the brochure so I was confident they would produce equally good work on the website.”

And he was right. Parrlondon.co.uk is a welcoming, professional and – above all – useful.

“The feedback from customers has been great,” said Matthew. “The graphics and interface are good and everyone says it’s easy to use, looks good and gives them the info they need. What more could you ask for?”
