Payments

When do I pay?

We request that a deposit is paid prior to work being carried out, typically at 50%, but will confirm this at the quote stage. With larger projects we may also break it down into ongoing milestone payments. Final invoices are released upon completion of the project and the payment terms are 14 days from the issue date.

How can I pay?

You can pay by bank transfer (BACS), cash or cheque. If you would like to make payment by credit card, we can provide this facility upon request, but a 3.4% admin fee will be added to your bill.

Do you offer fixed prices?

Yes. The price you are quoted will always be the price you pay, unless the scope of the brief changes during the project.

Can I break down payment?

Of course you can, we appreciate how important cash flow is to most businesses so we are happy to break down payments for larger projects over a number of months (this would include a deposit invoice). Just ask at the quoting stage.

What happens if I need to cancel a project?

Firstly, let us know as soon as possible. If any work has been carried out on a project after approval to commence the project then we will need to charge for it. Of course, if we haven't started then there will be no charge.

Can you take care of everything – logo, brand, print, web and exhibition design?

When it comes to design, the answer is yes. From the design of your logo and brand to anything this could be applied to in print and online. We take care of the whole lot for you.

What is the process?

In broad terms, our projects go through an initial design stage, typically two amendment stages (more or less amendment stages can be quoted for upon request) and then a final production stage. This process can vary slightly depending on the nature of the project.

Do we need to meet?

It's not essential to meet in person these days as technology allows for projects to be managed via phone, email and Skype, but our door is always open if you'd like to pop in for a cuppa!

Do you write content for websites and printed material?

Yes we do, please just let us know what you require and we can build this in to your quote.

I'm in a bit of a hurry, can you turn my job around quickly?

We will always do whatever we can to ensure we meet your deadline, we've been going for 12 years and we've not missed one yet!

What happens if I don't like the designs you produce?

It is very important to us that you are happy with the work we provide to you. Our briefing process ensures that cases like this are extremely rare, but if for any reason you are not satisfied with the quality of the work we will revisit the brief with you, check we are both happy with it and ensure that all problems with the work are resolved.

Print Questions

How quickly will I receive my printed items?

This depends on the size of the run. Commencing approval of the design, large runs (litho printed) take approximately five days on average and short runs (digitally printed) can be delivered in as little as 48 hours.

Web Questions

Do I own my domain name?

If you bought your own domain name, you own it. If a domain name has been bought by Pad on your behalf, it will be within our account so we can easily administer it for you. We are more than happy to update the registrant information to your contact details or transfer it to a provider of your choice free of charge at any point.

Do I own my website?

In most cases, once we have built your site and at the point you have made payment in full, the website is your property.

Do you do SEO?

Yes we do, we carry out essential SEO on the initial build of websites and more advanced optimisation can be carried out upon request.
